PHIPPSBURG, Maine — A Phippsburg woman arrested early Sunday morning for domestic violence assault was found to have an extraditable warrant from Pennsylvania, according to Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Brett Strout.
Andrea Ewing, 33, was arguing with her ex-husband about 1:20 a.m. Sunday when, according to Strout, the situation escalated.
“It got out of hand,” said Strout. “It ended up being a physical confrontation.”
A records check revealed that Ewing is the subject of an arrest warrant from Pennsylvania for operation under the influence. Strout said Monday he was unsure how old the warrant is or whether Pennsylvania will choose to extradite Ewing, who is being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset on domestic violence assault and fugitive from justice charges.
