AUGUSTA, Maine — Maine gas prices have fallen nearly four cents in the past week and the average retail price is down to $3.86 per gallon.
Price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com reported Monday that although local prices are falling faster than they are nationally, the Maine price remains nine cents above the national average.
Current prices are more than 11 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are more than 12 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 13 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 16 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

Its still $2.00 a gallon more then it should be. Thank You Bush and Obama for helping out the american peolpe or maybe sticking it too us. Charge the middleast $132.00 a bushell for grain. Then see what happens. Just don’t drive for three day weekend coming up and see how much surplus they have. See if the Feds or the State of Maine can make there projected revenue workout right.
Just remember, we’re not Venezuela, Mexico, etc. where the governments control the oil industry.
