DEXTER – Doreen A. Stanley, 43, died May 5, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 7, 1969, in Bangor, a daughter of Donald and Madeline (Penney) Stanley Sr.
She graduated from Dexter Regional High School, class of 1987. Doreen was employed as a certified nurse’s aide at Hibbard’s Nursing Home. She was an avid Yankees fan and was a well-known fundraiser for CancerCare of Maine.
She is survived by her mother of Dexter; a brother, Donald Jr. and wife, Kelly Stanley, of Corinna; a sister, Donna and husband, Mike Bussell, of Dexter; a nephew, Detric; two nieces, Faith and Renee; and her beloved dog, Holly.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 11, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with the Rev. Sheldon Wheeler officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. Those who wish may leave written tributes at
