AUGUSTA, Maine — Maine state parks officials say fishermen who want to launch their boats early in the morning this season at Sebago Lake State Park will need to purchase Early Launch Permits.

The permit requirement takes effect Saturday and remains in effect for the remainder of the summer season. Those who don’t get permits will have to wait until 9 a.m. for the gate to open.

This is the second year that the park has offered the Early Launch Permit.

Early Launch Permits cost $10 and include the gate combination.
