ASHLAND – Percy Berube, 76, died May 13, 2012, at Maine Veterans Home, Caribou. He was born Sept. 4, 1935, in Winterville, the son of Paul and Caroline (Tardie) Berube.
He was employed as a mechanic for most of his working life. Percy was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, LeBlanc-Junkins Post 9699, Ashland.
He is survived by one daughter, Kelly Veazie and husband, Daniel, of Ashland; three sisters, Gloria Legassie of Presque Isle, Diane Plummer and husband, Frank, of Dover-Foxcroft and Linda Pillsbury and husband, Terry, of Monticello; one sister-in-law, Linda Berube of Presque Isle; two grandsons, Jacob Spittle of Mars Hill and Levi Veazie of Ashland; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at the VFW Hall, Ashland, with a committal service and interment beginning 3 p.m. at St. Mark Cemetery, Sheridan.
