HAMPDEN – Andrew S. Cobb, 51, passed away peacefully May 16, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at a Bangor hospital. Andrew was born Dec. 28, 1960, in Bangor, to Ralph W. and Shirley R. (Giles) Cobb.

Andrew was a graduate of Hampden Academy and the University of Maine. He worked at Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor, before working for the state of Maine as an environmental specialist for many years. Andrew enjoyed the outdoors, spending many hours hunting and fishing. He was a sports enthusiast, and had a great passion for watching and coaching baseball and playing golf. Andrew will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Andrew is survived by his father, Ralph W. Cobb Sr.; his brother, Ralph W. Cobb Jr., both of Hampden; his sister, Scarlet Bezio of Bangor; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Andrew was predeceased by his mother, Shirley; and a brother, Dale.

A graveside service celebrating Andrew’s life will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 21, at Lakeview Cemetery, Western Avenue, Hampden, with the Rev. Brent Trueworthy officiating.
