PRESQUE ISLE – Madeline Bernier, 73, died peacefully May 23, 2012, surrounded by her family at The Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. She was born Nov. 19, 1938, at Eagle Lake, daughter of Solomon and Agnes Bernier.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Presque Isle.

She is survived by brother, Gilman and wife, Nancy Bernier, of Sanbornville, N.H.; brother, Edmond and wife, Alberta Bernier, of Frenchville; twin sister, Maxine and husband, Bernard Bernier, of Caribou; sister, Eveline Paradis of Presque Isle; sister, Kathleen White of Washburn; brother, Camille and wife, Beverly Bernier, of Farmington, N.H.; brother, Joseph and wife, Kerry Bernier, of New Rockford, N.D.; sister, Nancy and husband, Dale Drake, of Presque Isle; sister, Patricia and husband, Scott Bagley, of Mapleton; brother, Lucian and wife, Sandy Bernier, of Augusta; sister, Theresa and husband, Wayne Lulek, of Dover, N.H.; sister, Jean Bernier of Van Buren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a baby sister, Claire Marie, in infancy; several aunts and uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday and 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake, with the Rev. James Albert officiating. Committal services will be after at the parish cemetery.
