WOODVILLE – Linda Jane (Cole) Crosby, wife of Chester “Chet” Crosby, passed away May 23, 2012, surrounded by family, friends and her hospice worker, at her home. She was born Dec. 17, 1941, in Burlington, daughter of Norman and Sylda (Ryder) Cole.
Linda was a proud member of alcoholic anonymous with 32 years of sobriety. An avid gardener, she loved flowers, landscaping and rock gardens. She had been a member of East Branch SnoRovers, and loved quilting, dancing, hunting and fishing.
In addition to her husband, Chet, she is survived by a daughter, Marcia Hatt; two sons, Michael Gifford and Matthew Gifford; granddaughters, Nora and Tesla; grandson, Tyler; granddaughter, Adria; great-granddaughters, Maria and Emma; stepchildren, Danny, Joey, Steve and Rochelle; stepgranddaughters, Kylie and Taylor; sister, Sandra Furrow; aunt and uncle, Jeanette Richmond and Donald; sister-in-law, Carol Murphy; many cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as her special pal, her dog, Blue. In addition to her parents and her in-laws, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Alexa; brothers, Danny and Norman Jr.; and sister, Mary.
As per her request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in her memory to either Lincoln Lakes Dialysis or Beacon Hospice.
