TRENTON, Maine — A section of Route 230 in Trenton was closed to traffic Sunday night as police investigated a serious crash.
The crash happened on Route 230/Oak Point Road after 7 p.m. Fire and rescue crews from several towns as well as the LifeFlight helicopter service were called to assist with multiple serious injuries at the scene.
The stretch of road between the Trenton town office and Goose Cove Road was still closed as of 9:30 p.m. as police from several agencies investigated the incident.
No information was available Sunday night.
Route 230 is a popular alternate route for drivers traveling between Ellsworth and Trenton or Mount Desert Island.
