EXETER – After a courageous battle with cancer, Purple Daigle passed away on a beautiful sunny day, May 27, 2012, in the comfort of her home. She was born May 20, 1948.
Purple lived life on her own terms and with all her heart. To know her was to be amazed by her uniqueness, intelligence, sense of commitment and spiritual connection to the earth. Purple’s adventurous life began in Providence, R.I. She graduated college in Boston and enjoyed a varied life including time on an Israeli kibbutz. Purple worked at CHCS and for many years at WBRC Architects, where she was proud of the company’s many “green” projects. She traveled extensively before settling into her “earth friendly” life in Exeter.
Purple is survived by her husband of 20 years, Kevin Daigle; her father, Howard Weiner; brothers, Jordan, Anthony and Bruce Weiner; and extended family in Maine, Florida and Israel. Purple shared many lifelong friendships – too many to list – you know who you are.
In keeping with Purple’s belief to be kind and one with the earth, giving back more than she took, Purple chose to be cremated. Her ashes will be spread far and wide by family and friends. A celebration of Purple’s life can be shared 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at her home, 487 Tibbetts Road, Exeter. Please direct any donations to earth friendly projects. Be organic and recycle – make her smile!
