BANGOR, Maine — A local man caught earlier this month with hundreds of oxycodone pills and crack cocaine was indicted on drug charges Wednesday by the Penobscot County grand jury.
Roger Campbell-Black, 34, of Bangor was indicted on three counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, one court of unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, four counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, criminal forfeiture of U.S. currency and criminal forfeiture of a motor vehicle.
Ayanna Johnson, 39, of the Bronx, N.Y., also was indicted in connection with Campbell-Black’s case. She was indicted for aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and illegal importation of scheduled drugs.
Information about their arraignments was not available Wednesday. Both have been released on bail.
Campbell-Black was arrested May 4 “as he delivered 100 oxycodone tablets and 2 grams of crack cocaine” to someone waiting in the parking lot of a Holden business, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. About $3,000 in cash was seized. At his Center Street home, agents seized “over a quarter-pound of crack cocaine, 495 oxycodone tablets and $8,000 in cash,” Darrell Crandall, MDEA division commander for northern Maine, said earlier this month.
Crandell estimated the street value of the drugs at $60,000.
Johnson was arrested May 5 when she got off a bus at the Greyhound station in Hampden, he said. More than 600 oxycodone pills were seized from her.
If convicted, Campbell-Black faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000 on the most serious charge of aggravated trafficking. Johnson faces up to 10 years behind bars and a fine of up to $20,000 if convicted.
