ALFRED, Maine — A grand jury has indicted a 23-year-old Maine man on murder and manslaughter charges stemming from the death of his 2½-month old son.
A York County grand jury returned the indictment Wednesday against Gordon Collins-Faunce of Arundel. Collins-Faunce was charged with murder last month in the death of his son, Ethan Henderson, at the home where he was living with his girlfriend.
Court documents say Collins-Faunce told police he squeezed his son’s head in frustration before throwing him hard into a living room chair, causing severe brain bleeding that led to his death.
The grand jury also indicted Collins-Faunce on charges of aggravated assault and assault for allegedly assaulting his son on previous occasions in March and April.
He’s being held on $100,000 bail.

He should join Thane Ormsby in The Maine State Prison for the rest of his life. (Maine does not have the death penalty)
He had assault charges pending from March and April as a result of assaulting his son on two previous occasions. Therefore, why wasn’t the infant protected from being in the presence of this man?? Why would the Mother of this infant ever give Collins-Faunce access to the baby after he had already assaulted it TWICE? Where was DHHS? The police and/or the DA must have reported the March &April incidences to DHHS for the protection of the baby pending the grand jury indictment. Killing babies is become a sport in this State.
Where did you hear about the previous charges having been in place before the murder? I’m not saying your information is inaccurate, I just want to know the source. I’ve been following this story very closely, and as I understood it the charges for the assaults that took place in March/April were only initiated *after* Collins-Faunce fatally assaulted Ethan.
