HOLDEN – Doris (Hitchcock) Parker, 82, entered heaven Tuesday morning, June 12, 2012, surrounded by her family she dearly loved. She was born July 13, 1929, in Fort Fairfield, daughter of the late William and Annie (Clark) Hitchcock of Fort Fairfield.
She was the wife of Kenneth Parker, who died in 1993. Doris was completely devoted to her family and loved by all who know her. She will be greatly missed by her family which includes her three children, Judy Hemmingsen and her husband, Edward, of Belfast, Stephen Parker and his wife, Melissa, of Mariaville and Jill Malanowski and her significant other, Darrin “Do-Do” Gray, of Holden; her grandchildren, Jeff and his wife, Connie, Katie, Meghan, Jonathan, Kelsey and Christian; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Velma Clarke of New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she was predeceased by her son, Kenneth “Buzzy” Parker; brothers, Carl, Clyde, Ivan, Vernon and Donnie Hitchcock; and sisters, Fern and Eva Hitchcock. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Bangor Veterans Home and Loving Touch for the wonderful care of Doris.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 15, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16. A committal service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16,
