ORONO – Virginia H. Johnston, 90, died peacefully June 12, 2012, at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born April 25, 1922, in Orono, a daughter of Harry and Helen (McConnell) Johnston.
Virginia attended Orono High School and attended Orono Methodist Church.
She is survived by a niece, Linda Costigan of Old Town; several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Johnston; sister-in-law, M. Dreame Johnston; and niece, Donna Oakes.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
