ADDISON – Frances Evelyn (Look) Kofoed, 89, died June 9, 2012, at her home. She was born Dec. 26, 1922, in Addison, a daughter of Walter C. and Alice (Nash) Look.
She graduated from Addison High School, class of 1940, and Frederick’s Beautician School, Boston, where she worked as a beautician in for several years. She was married to James P. Kofoed, who predeceased her in 1974. After his death she moved back to Addison and took care of her parents until their deaths. She was employed by the county of Washington for 10 years. She was a member of Indian River Grange, serving as treasurer for several years; also a member of Pleasant River Historical Association and Addison Alumni Association.
She is survived by her sister, Thelma L. Grant of Addison; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; two brothers, Eugene S. Look and Richard E. Look; and a nephew, Charles E. Grant.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Church Hill Cemetery Association, care of treasurer, 69 West Side Road, Addison, ME 04606. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Machias.
