NEW SWEDEN and PORTLAND – Wayne Hjalmer Dickinson, 63, died June 19, 2012, in Portland. He was born May 17, 1949, in Caribou, son of the late Frederick and Arlene (Landeen) Dickinson.
Mr. Dickinson attended Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church. He was employed by Brescia Construction Co. for more than 25 years, and more recently he was employed by Tri Community Landfill and Recycling for more than 19 years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of more than 38 years, Donna (Jackson) Dickinson of Portland, are his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Cyndi Dickinson of Scarborough; daughter, Cassandra Dickinson of Presque Isle; two brothers, Donald Dickinson of Caribou and Keith Dickinson of Stockholm; three sisters, Leona Page of Tilton, N.H., Linda Dickinson and Diana Plourde, both of Caribou; beloved granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rose Dickinson; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 11 a.m. until time of services 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with the Rev. Gordon Compton officiating.
