SALEM, Mass. – Christina Hattie (Dunbar) Long enjoyed a full, happy life. She was born March 10, 1919, in Crystal. She lived many years in Naples, Fla., and Salem, Mass. She passed away peacefully May 5, 2012, in Massachusetts. Affectionately known as “Tude” by family and friends, she was married to Joseph Aldric Long, who passed away in 1997. They had one child, Charlene Dorilda Long, who lovingly cared for her parents. Tude was one of 13 children of parents, Bessie and Edwin Dunbar. She is survived by her daughter; and sisters, Joyce, Mildred, Margaret, Leora, Elnora and Ella; and brothers, Sonny and Doug. She was predeceased by sisters, Nome and Iona; as well as brothers, George and Hollice. Tude brought sunshine into the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but her smile, laughter, optimism, love of family and love of life will always be remembered and appreciated.
