RIPLEY – Paul C. Delescluse, 64, died June 21, 2012, at the Maine Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Togus, after a long illness. He was born Oct. 25, 1947, in Lawrence, Mass., the son of Joseph L. and Irene L. (Vancopellone) Delescluse Sr.

He was educated in Pelham, N.H., schools. Paul was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving one tour of duty in Vietnam stationed with the 82 Airborne Unit. Paul was employed as a machinist. He worked at Faye Scott, Dexter, for several years. Paul was a member of Disabled American Veterans Association. He enjoyed “hanging with his friends at Ron Sinclair’s garage in Ripley.” He loved restoring his antique autos and being in the outdoors, especially while hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his father, Joseph L. Delescluse Sr. of Nashua, N.H.; two brothers, Michael T. Delescluse of St. Albans and Joseph L. Delescluse Jr. of Hudson, N.H.; two sisters, Madeline I. Naugle of Nashua, N.H., and Brenda L. Fitzuhuh of Nashua, N.H.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private family services will take place in New Hampshire at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, 34 High St., Newport.
