BRADLEY – Craig E. Thompson, 61, died unexpectedly June 25, 2012, at his residence.

He was born July 1, 1950, in Bangor, a son of Gerald M. and Ruth A. (Noyes) Thompson.

Craig graduated from Old Town High School, class of 1968, and attended Eastern Maine Community College. He was employed for more than 37 years at the Department of Transportation as a lab technician. He enjoyed tracing family genealogy, fishing and family gatherings.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Grant) Thompson; three children, Michele Dupuis and her husband, Jay, Douglas Thompson and significant other, Colleen Emmons, and Carrie Reed; two very special grandchildren, Jenna Reed and Erika Dupuis; sister, Kathryn Merrithew and her husband, Jack, and their daughter, Kristi Potter and her husband, Keith, and daughters, Lauren and Leah; mother-in-law, Arlene Grant; and many extended family members and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents.

A graveside service will be conducted noon Thursday at Lakeview Cemetery, Glenburn.
