CALHOUN, Ga. – Clarence Emile Hebert, 81, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012, surrounded by his family at his residence. Clarence was born Sept. 14, 1930, in Fort Kent, son of the late Emile Hebert and Estelle Bourgoin Hebert.

Clarence was of the Catholic faith and was employed by Wiremold prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Clarence was born in Maine, but had spent most of his life in New Britain, Conn., before moving to Calhoun, Ga., 10 months ago to be close to his daughter. His passion in life was his family, but he loved to work in his garden.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Emile, Lewellyn, Roland and Richard; and one sister, Lillian (Hebert) Ouellette. Survivors include his wife, Rena Hebert; one daughter, Diane Mowry and her husband, Michael, all of Calhoun, Ga.; two brothers, Paul Hebert of Van Buren and Patrick Hebert and his wife, Mae Rita, of Fort Kent; four sisters, Loretta Labrie and her husband, Alfred, of Clair, New Brunswick, Cecelia Dubois and her husband, Elmer, of Fort Kent, Rose Marie Plourde and her husband, Edward, of Fort Kent and Geneva Boucher and her husband, Lewis, of Terryville, Conn.; three grandchildren, James “JP” Podbielski and companion, Tonya Bennett, Jennifer Weaver and her husband, Lee, and Michelle Gallman and her husband, Zach; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, at St. Clement’s Catholic Church, Calhoun, Ga., with Father Joe Shaute officiating. Burial with full military honors will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5, at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Ga.
