PRESQUE ISLE – Bob Blackstone, 60, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 3, 2012. He was born April 14, 1952, in Presque Isle, the son of Hartson and Milly (Smith) Blackstone.
Bob’s faith was the most important thing in his life, but his family was the second. He loved and treasured every moment with them, and will forever be in their hearts.
In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his loving wife, Bonnie (Maynard) Blackstone of Presque Isle; a son, Robbie and wife, Spring, of Woodland; a daughter, Angela Thompson and husband, Terry, of Washburn; seven grandchildren, Taylor and Danielle Thompson, Brooke, Olivia, MacKenzie, Kassidy and Ryan Blackstone; and a sister, Carolann Cain and husband, Gus, of Caribou. He will also be sadly missed by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Rowena Maynard of Washburn; two sisters-in-law, Barb and husband, Rod Leach, of Washburn, and Lorrie Shelton and husband, Craig, of Fairbanks, Alaska; a brother-in-law, Ted Maynard and his wife, Christina, of Washburn; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at Presque Isle Wesleyan Church with the Revs. Barry Blackstone and Bud Fancy officiating. Friends may call 2 p.m. until the time of service. After the service a reception will be held in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly wishes that donations be made in Bob’s memory to Perham Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Stockholm Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Presque Isle Wesleyan Church Missions Fund. Arrangements in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Condolences may be expressed at

Bob, thanks for all you did for me. The long talk we had before our meeting to decide on who went to Guatemala……it meant the world to me that you listened and heard me for who I was. Heaven is so lucky to have an angel like you in Heaven.
My thoughts and prayers go with the entire family of Bob. May he rest in peace and know he is watching from above on his family. Angie I am so sorry for your loss. I am here if you need me and hope that you know you can lean on your friends. It is very difficult to lose a parent, and I know exactly where your at. We love you, we are here for you and we care! Milly, and Robbie so sorry for you loss as well and Milly and Hartson too. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! You’ll be missed Bob!
