DOVER-FOXCROFT – John A. Warren, 59, husband of Lindy (Strout) Warren, died July 4, 2012, at a Bangor hospital, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born March 20, 1953, in Dover-Foxcroft, son of Philip E. and Marjorie (Severance) Warren.
A graduate of Foxcroft Academy, class of 1971, John also attended Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute.
He had been employed by Central Maine Power as a field engineer, retiring after 34 years.
John was an avid golfer and followed his favorite teams, the New York Yankees and Boston Celtics, faithfully.
John is survived by his wife, Lindy of Dover-Foxcroft; a daughter, Rebecca Gaw and her husband, Brian, and their children, Brady and Breelyn, all of Guilford; a sister, Lynette Rayfield and her husband, William, of Goffstown, N.H.; a nephew, Billy Rayfield and his wife, Audra, and their children, Ava, Wyatt and Adalynn, all of Dover-Foxcroft; and a niece, Leigh-Ayer Billing and her husband, Jamie, and their children, Michael and Andrew, all of North Berwick. Brady and Breelyn say, “I love you Grampa.”
Friends and family are invited to bring favorite stories and remembrances of John to memorial visiting hours noon-2 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, and to a reception afterward at Foxcroft Golf Course.
