ELLSWORTH – Amy Patten, 86, died July 7, 2012, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born June 27, 1926, in Ellsworth, daughter of Frank W. and Helen (McDermott) Saunders.
Amy was an avid Red Sox fan. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellsworth; and Arbutus Grange No. 456 of Surry.
She is survived by her husband, George of Ellsworth; son, Stephan M. Patten and wife, Linda, of Bucksport; daughter, Sharon Patten; grandchildren, Bethany Williams and husband, Robert, of Bangor, Melissa Patten of Orlando, Fla., and Charles R. Preston Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; and sister, Ruth S. Moore of Ellsworth.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellsworth, with Father Scott Mower, celebrant. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Ellsworth.
