OLD TOWN – Elizabeth G. Medeiros, 77, died peacefully July 10, 2012, at home, with family by her side. She was born June 18, 1935, in Old Town, a daughter of Henry J. and Louise M. (Bourque) Thibodeau.

She was a 1953 graduate of Old Town High School and attended nursing school in Tewksbury, Mass., and worked as a nurse for 42 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynne Woods of Milford and Robin Emery of Bradley; special niece, Mary Ellen Kopp and “granddaughter,” Lily Heskin Kopp; special lifelong family friends, Gloria and Richard Boucher of Old Town; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Germaine Gabrelcik and Frances Kopp; and a brother, Henry “Pete” Thibodeau and her husband, Anthony Medeiros.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Burial will be afterward at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town. Immediately after the services, all are invited to a light luncheon and continued fellowship at the Parish Center.
