BARING – Frances Leslie Tupper, 98, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 2, 1913, in Patten, to George and Carrie Jane Wheaton.

Frances was married to Charles Tupper. She had many enjoyments in life: gardening, watching the Red Sox play baseball and most important was spending time with her family. Frances was a member of Orion Chapter No. 45 Order of the Eastern Star, The Rebekah’s Lodge, The Happy Gang of Calais and she was a past noble grand in Calais. She will be sadly missed by those who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband, Charles Tupper, in 1990; a sister, Audrey Wilson; and five brothers, Ensley, Wyman, Milton, George and John Wheaton. Survivors include her four children, Evelyn Manship of Baring, Lyle Tupper and his wife, Lolita, of Pinetta, Fla., Robert Tupper of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Darien Doten and her husband, Carlton, of Baring; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
