AUBURN, Ala. – Mrs. Dorothy H. Martin, 93, a resident of Auburn, Ala., for the last several years, died Feb. 2, 2012.
Mrs. Martin, the former Dorothy Holway, grew up in Machiasport and married Richard B. Martin, Ph.D. Together, they raised four children, primarily in Oak Ridge, Tenn., where they moved to be part of Atomic Energy Commission Community.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Church Hill Cemetery, Machiasport, with the Rev. Dr. Katherine Meurer Martin officiating. Friends are welcome to attend. Afterward, the family would love to share memories of Mrs. Martin’s love of life, especially her family, reading and her beloved Maine with friends in the area. We will meet at Church Fellowship Hall after the interment.
