ENFIELD – Ronald K. McFalls, 82, husband of Laurel (McCormick) McFalls, passed away July 18, 2012, at a Lincoln health care facility. He was born Jan. 17, 1930, in Lancaster, Pa., the son of W. Richard and Melva (Kranch) McFalls.

Ron was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired state trooper with Maine State Police, where he served for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days, and his camp at Bottle Lake. He liked to tell stories and enjoyed family get-togethers. He was a member of the Marine Corps League. On Aug. 4, 2012, he and Laurel would have been married for 60 years.

In addition to Laurel, he is survived by four children, Kendall McFalls of Edinburg, Ronette Gilman and Greg, and Karen O’Brien and Colby, all of Enfield, and Debbie Taylor and Steve of Lincoln; eight grandchildren, Shon Gilman and Jill, Aaron Gilman and Renee, David O’Brien and Brooke, Ronny O’Brien and Heather, Candy Seile and Mike, Chrissy Dubois and Rick, Becky McFalls and Jeff Roper, and Amy McFalls-Smith and Alan; 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, W. Richard McFalls; his mother, Melva Farnsworth; his stepfather, Melzar Farnsworth; and three brothers, Richard, Jay and Gary.
