MEXICO, Maine — A man is in grave condition at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a Tuesday morning shooting inside a mobile home in Mexico.

Thomas Joudrey, 30, is being treated for a gunshot wound to the head, according to a news release from Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.

Reached by phone Tuesday, McCausland wouldn’t elaborate on the details behind the shooting. In the release he stated that two other men were in the home at the time of the shooting and one of them left the scene before police arrived at about 4:20 a.m.

Police are looking for Robert Terrill, 28, who lives in the mobile home at 9 Riverside Park, near the Walmart store, is 6 feet tall and weighs about 175 pounds, according to the release. When he left the scene on foot he was wearing tan pants and a black T-shirt and was carrying an olive green duffel bag.

Police questioned the third man inside the home but declined to release details.

Anyone with information on Terrill’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.

    1.  The guns must be back!!—Around Bangor lately it’s been stabbing!–people have absolutely no scruples at all any more!

      1. I’m all for changing our state slogan, from:

“Maine, the way life should be.”

        to

“Maine: It’s better than some really bad places…”

      2. Don’t those cities have loyal Americans living there?  Are we proud that we kill a fewer number of people here in Maine?  Does that make Maine any better than Syria where thousands have been killed in the past few months?  Better than Iraq where thousands have be killed in the past 10 years as well as the hundreds of Iraqis murdered yesterday?  This is your WORLD and those are ALL our fellow humans.  This “me, mine, ours” mentality is what causes the chaos.

    1. I am afraid it is just getting worse…..the public really needs to start speaking out. Letters to the governor, the editor, and the commissioner. With enough of them, something has got to happen. I think we have all had enough!

  1. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; it used to be that when you had a beef with someone, you duked it out with your fists and that was it. Now somebody has to use a gun or knife. Punks.

    1. Yes and the cops usually asked if either party wanted to press charges. Often the answer
was no and the pair would be working together again the next day. Or laughing at each
other’s black eyes and fat lips. Bringing weapons onto the scene makes for way too permanent an outcome.

  2. If another shooting occurs in the next few days – God forbid – will you also describe the home? Stick-built? Ranch-style? Cape Cod? Modular?

  3. Those are some nasty pants dude… I think I hear the song from Deliverance in the distance.

  4. Not bad for one that just got out of prison in June! This new commissioner is doing a great job! Next time I am sure he will get the job done. Our justice system sucks.
