HOULTON – Patrea Marie McDunnah, 83, went to be with her Lord July 24, 2012, at her sister’s residence, surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 15, 1928, in Linneus, the daughter of Carton A. and Mabel (Parker) Grant.

Patrea was a longtime member of United Pentecostal Church, Houlton. She was employed for many years with Cigna Insurance Co. in Bloomfield, Conn., until her retirement. She was a devoted wife and mother of three sons.

Patrea is survived by her three sons, Gerald P. McDunnah and his wife, Jackie, of Southwick, Mass., Herschel A. McDunnah and his wife, Kathy, of Suffield, Conn., and Allen J. McDunnah and his wife, Barbara, of Sanford; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roland Grant of Miami, Carl Avon Grant of Houlton and Fred Grant of Michigan; two sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Britton of Houlton and Marion London of Hodgdon; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandchild; and two brothers, Galen Grant and Blaine Grant. Special thanks and gratitude must be noted for the love and care giving by her ever present sister, Marion, her family and all the great care and love shown by the health care professionals.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at United Pentecostal Church, Houlton, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. V.R. Sixberry officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
