GEORGETOWN, Maine — The Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department has summoned 19 teens with alcohol-related charges after an anonymous tip led deputies to an underage drinking party in Georgetown on the night of July 18.
Chief Deputy Brett Strout said on that day at 11:08 p.m., Sgt. Greg Siegel, Deputy Al Huntington and Deputy Robert Mayer responded to and located an underage party at a residence at 258 West Georgetown Road in Georgetown.
“Everyone was cooperative with us when we arrived,” Strout said.
Kathleen Crosby, 19, of 79 Moores Turnpike in Georgetown was charged with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol as well as illegal possession of alcohol by a minor by consumption.
Each of the following young adults were charged with one count of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor by consumption: Christopher Ludee, 18, of 1429 Main Road, Phippsburg; Eric Trautman- Mosher, 19, of 14 Somerset Place, Bath; Caleb Edmundson, 19, of 220 Oak St., Bath; Zachary Shaw, 19, of 918 Old State Road, Woolwich; Leigh Mathieu, 18, of 8 Cobb Road, Bath; Brandon McCoy, 18, of 32 Highlands St., Bath; Cody Snyder, 19, of 93 Ridge Road, Bath; Julia Shively, 19, of 9 Pear Tree Lane, Wayland, Mass.; Margaret Webster, 18, of 84 Leavitt St., Hingham, Mass.; Schuyler Mace, 18, of 122 Indian Point Road, Georgetown; Lauren Crosby, 18, of 10 Marrtown Road, Georgetown; James Conley, 18, of 70 Bailey Road, Andover, Mass.; and Kathleen Conley, 18, of 30 Decatur Lane, Wayland, Mass.
Five 17-year olds — three females and two males from Woolwich, Topsham, Georgetown and Bath — were also summoned for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor by consumption. A sixth 17-year old male from Wayland, Mass., was scheduled to get a summons for the same charge as of Wednesday morning.
Strout said deputies spent more than 2½ hours at this call, making sure that parents were notified and that no one drove home with alcohol in their system.

These are all good kids. I feel bad they got busted when they obviously don’t party on the regular. The worst part is that this will come up under search results for their name for years to come.
Eh, now a days a simple under-age drinking charge isn’t anything that’ll keep them from getting jobs. It should be a wake-up call for these kids though.

In Maine you are an adult at the age of 18.. Old enough to go die in a war. I don’t see why there needed to be any arrest here.
They will learn about life being unfair though..
Years ago, when the drinking age was dropped to 18, my license had me as 2 years older than I was. I got my liquor ID at 17! Of course we rarely had enough money for both booze and gas for the 22 mile round trip to get it at the same time, but…..things were different then.
Looking back on our youth, we’d all be doing 3-5 for our parties. Based on this “bust”.
Thank God I escaped my teenage years without getting caught.
I guess thats what happens if you wait around for the cops to show up.
