BANGOR – Susan E. Jensen, 68, died peacefully Aug. 8, 2012, at her home after a long illness. She was born July 2, 1944, in Dowagiac, Mich., daughter of Orlo B. and Dorothy M. Fox.
Sue graduated from Marcellus High School, Michigan, class of 1962. After graduation, she attended Western Michigan University where she received an associate degree in business. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Bruce Jensen, and they settled in Bangor, in 1973. They celebrated 47 years of marriage in July. Sue worked for MPBN, and the animal and veterinary sciences department at the University of Maine for many years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed arts, crafts, gardening and was an avid reader.
Sue was predeceased by her parents, Orlo and Dorothy Fox of Volina, Mich. Surviving, in addition to her husband, Bruce Jensen, are her sons, Brian Jensen and wife, Debra, of Bangor, Kris Jensen and wife, Bun, and granddaughters, Christina and Samantha of Glenburn; twin sister, Carol Hartman; brothers, Joel Fox, Chris Fox and Kim Fox; and their families, all of Marcellus, Mich.
Relatives and friends are welcome to visit 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a memorial service will begin 2 p.m. with the Rev. Grace Bartlett officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the service at 812 Broadway, Bangor.
