BANGOR AND NEW HAVEN, CONN. – Carolyn L. Isaac, 53, died Aug. 5, 2012, at her home in Bangor after a long illness. She was born Jan. 9, 1959, in Greenville, N.C., daughter of Leroy and Marjorie (Moye) Spell.
Carolyn worked in the textile industry in South Carolina and had recently moved to Maine where she had lived with her husband, John Isaac, for the past two years. She was a member of Pathway Church, Harlow Street, Bangor. Carolyn loved to cook, enjoyed helping others and had many friends.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of Bangor and her mother of New Haven, Conn., are two sons, Michael Moye and his wife, Wendy, of Bangor and John T. Isaac of Bangor; one sister, Geraldine Spell, with whom she was very close, of New Haven, Conn.; three brothers, Raymond, Earl and Willie Torrence; and six grandchildren, Laquasha, Kayli, Nyasia, Nyquasia, Skyler and Michelle. She was predeceased by a brother, Billy Ray Spell.
Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A service honoring Carolyn’s life will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Pathway Church, Schoolhouse Building, 185 Harlow St., Bangor, with Pastor Nelson Koonce presiding. Burial will be private.
