CARIBOU – Maxine E. Gee, 96, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at a Caribou nursing home. She was born Feb. 2, 1916, in Caribou, the daughter of John and Faye (Burns) Gee.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and for the many games of Scrabble she loved to play. She attended Caribou Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the WCTU and the Edith and Ethel mission circle.
Maxine is survived by her good friends, Guelda Michaud and Penny LeVasseur of Caribou; and her cousins, Katherine Anderson of Yorklyn, Del., Wilma Gene Parker and her husband, William, of Bowdoin, Cyrus Morris and his wife, Edwina, of Caribou and Lorraine McLaughlin and her husband, RH, of Bangor. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Floris Finnemore; and a brother, Shirley Gee.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. There will be a private interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.lancastermorgan.com.
