Dear Marie, It’s been eight
years since you’ve been gone, sometimes it seems like forever, sometimes it seems like it was just yesterday. For more than four years you fought for your life. You showed such strength, determination and courage. You gave us the strength to carry on. There are the little things that we miss: the way you always tooted when you drove by the house, the gatherings for the cookouts with your friends, and watching you and Mariah play with the ferrets, but most of all Marie we miss you so very, very much. Even though this emptiness can never be filled, we take comfort in spending time with Mariah and knowing that through her your spirit will live on forever.
