BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police had a presence at the Bangor Waterfront as Def Leppard, Poison and Lita Ford took the stage Wednesday night to entertain a capacity crowd, and at the end of the night had arrested four men, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said.
“There were four arrests in that area,” he said.
Danny Ringuette, 31, from New Brunswick, Canada was intoxicated and charged with four crimes about 10 p.m. when he assaulted a beer tent employee after being cut off, Edwards said. He was charged with assault, refusing to submit and refusing to sign a court summons and taken to Penobscot County Jail. Ringuette had been released by Thursday, the sergeant said.
Officer Eric Tourtellotte made an arrest at about 10:10 p.m. on the waterfront but no details were available, Edwards said.
Police were sent to several fights in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot and eventually decided to hangout in the area.
“The guys responding to the third complaint decided to stay on foot,” Edwards said, adding that within half an hour Officer George Spencer had arrested two Bangor men.
Eugene Sylvia, 36, of Bangor was arrested about 9:30 p.m. for apparently punching one of two man walking down the sidewalk in front of where he was situated, Edwards said.
Sylvia wouldn’t stop for police and was taken to the ground by the responding officers. Once cuffed, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to Penobscot County Jail. He was later released, a jail official said Wednesday afternoon.
Stephen Nason, 27, of Bangor, was arrested about 10:05 p.m. for carrying a concealed weapon after someone reported he had a knife on him. The Bowie knife was taken as evidence, Edwards said, adding that Nason was not using the knife in any manner.
“He was in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot listening to the music like everybody else,” the sergeant said.
Nason also was taken to the county lockup and remained behind bars Thursday afternoon, a jail official said.

Rather tame compared to the heinous crime that Ted Nugent’s drummer committed.
lmao!!!!! heh heh oh man… thanks i needed that..
Police were sent to several fights in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot and eventually decided to hangout in the area. WOW SHOCKER
Totally Agree, they need to level that place and turn it into a parking lot.
Good job Mr Canada say goodbye to your border crossing career for any purpose
Do you have to buy a ticket to the concert to hang out in the parking lot? It seems like the headline should be “4 arrested during Def Leppard concert in Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot”.
People who are buying tickets aren’t the ones getting arrested. Yes, one person inside was arrested, 2 outside.
It’s pretty amazing looking at this online version of this newspaper. Bangor just looks really really bad. Based on what the paper is saying, Bangor sounds like the worst place in the world.
its not the paper making it sound that way, its the people. Bangor is bad have you been under a rock or something . really??
The concert was held in the Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot?
I was wondering what the horrible noise was…What is a Deaf Leopard…some kind of animan that is hard of hearing…Probably should be in a zoo
your a moron..if you don’t like the music..don’t go..otherwise keep your mouth shut and don’t be a jerk what are you mad cause you couldn’t afford a ticket lol
serving beer to until they are drunk is illegal I believe. just because they cut him off after he was drunk doesn’t make it legal.. Their should be some charges against the vendor and the charges dropped against the fine Canadian who was bringing money to our party corridor here in Bangor… I am very sure he would have been OK if he would have been cut off before he was allowed to get drunk.. I hope the Police follow MAINE law and arrest the vendor for creating this whole mess
Have you ever been to the Tavern?L.M.A.O!!! I was down there a couple weeks ago with some friends and this guy sitting next to me at the Bar got up,fell backwards on to the floor,a few people got up and helped him back up onto his chair and he continued on drinking to say the least, the Bartender witnessed the whole thing, and did nothing. So I wonder if theres a “Grey area” there?Hmmmm
The vendors do not have the time to administer sobriety tests to every person that comes to the tent. They are required by law to stop serving when it is evident that you have had enough. It is quite possible that it wasn’t evident when the sold him the previous beer or that after being served from the tent, he drank his friends beers or that he even had a flask hidden on his person that ran out. The fact that he got intoxicated to the point of flipping out is HIS doing! Stop perpetuating this disease that we have as Americans: blaming everyone else for our actions.
I don’t drink or do drugs so I wouldn’t fit in downtown Bangor. I would bet a good lawyer could get the Canadian dude some money for his troubles. They should have cut him off long before drunk. It was the Beer Vendor and Waterfront concerts fault that he got drunk on their beer.
yes cause this guy should have no responsibility for his actions. how do you know he wasnt drunk before he got there ? or was on something else. the vendors arent baby sitters there not gonna sit there and try to figure out who out of the hundreds of people there who is to drunk to continue drinkin . he should have had self control and knew when to stop drinking . we do like the fact he spent his money in bangor though . thanks now off you go lol.
This Canadian should of received a wooden shampoo for his immature actions, getting a billy club bounced of your fore head tends to calm you down.
2 were arrested during the concert, not AT the concert. Dunkin Donuts needs to hire the dozen officers I saw at the venue and there would be no problem. Maybe DD should start charging $10 tickets to sit in their lot and hear the show. They had a recent stabbing there at one of the concerts. What’s next? a fatal shooting? a fatal pedestrian accident across the street? Oh yeah, that already happened this year…
people just need to learn how to act plain and simple. act like you have some home training.
i cant afford a ticket so lets go hang out at DD parking lot all high and drunk . then start fights with random people cause im so cool. oh and dont forget the big knife i need cause there might be a moose or a deer down there . lol only in maine .
“Once cuffed, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to Penobscot County Jail.”
Usually when you’re “cuffed,” you have been arrested…
People are arrested “on suspicion” of committing a particular crime. The court will decide whether a crime was indeed committed by the person arrested.
I thought Canadians only got in line for milk and gas.
Were they arrested because of the “soul patches”? I hope so…
Cops should have used the taze first, ask questions later approach.
Eugene “Yoda” Sylvia sounds like he could have used a side order
of pepper spray.
Love the comment, keep it up.
Arrested Mr. Nason for carrying a knife, although he wasn’t using it in any manor and he was just chilling “like everyone else.” Great work, crime stoppers. How about you stop messing with ordinary folks and go back to assaulting and murdering donuts?
Note to anyone who carries a knife over six inches: Dont conceal it. Wear it in the open. They might not like it and they’ll certainly mess with you a whole lot and try to push you around mentally, but open carry is not illegal and they can’t do a thing. Ive been open carrying my Ka-Bar for years. Everywhere. They demand I remove it, I tell them to take it from me. They legally cant so they get angry and very assertive, as they always do and then I just walk away. Itd be different if a calm, rational and logical officer asked me to remove it because a mother is concerned about the impression it could leave on her children. Id consider it then as I am not an unreasonable man. But when you come around acting all high and mighty and try to push me around, its a sure thing imma tell you to stuff it, I dont care who you are or how much power you have.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.
lol ,i agree with Givrsum…..haha
