BELFAST, Maine — Counting Sunday’s arrest, police say that a 19-year-old from Stockton Springs now has been arrested 15 different times.

Dylin P. Knight was nabbed most recently for allegedly driving under the influence after a resident of Penobscot Terrace in Belfast called to complain about his driving.

Belfast police found Knight’s car parked outside one of the apartments in the housing complex and talked to him Sunday, according to Chief Mike McFadden of the Belfast Police Department.

Knight told police that he hadn’t been drinking that evening, but the officer “noticed Dylin was in fact intoxicated,” McFadden said, adding that the teen did not cooperate with the investigation.

He also was charged with operating beyond his license restrictions and two counts of violation conditions of release from previous charges.

McFadden said police in the past have arrested Knight on a variety of offenses, including operating after suspension and drug charges.

  1. He looks awfully smug. No doubt it hasn’t dawned upon him that by collecting arrests he has become unemployable and has tossed away what might have been a useful life.
Wipe the smile off, the joke’s on you, son.

  2. He is not a “teen”…. he is 19 years old and when the BDN uses that title, it minimizes his actions. He is a legal adult, and since most arrests under the age of 18 are sealed when a person becomes an adult, my guess is his 15 arrests have all occured in the past year or so. Time for him to ” do some time”.

    1. I see your point, but using the word teen certainly makes one want to read on vs. Stocton Springs man arrested 15 times. We have hundreds of Mainers who’ve been arrested that many times -and more.

      1. How about ” Stocton Springs Man Arrested 15 time in past year?”  It’s sad, something obviously went very wrong in his young life.

  3. Apparently he hasn’t learned his lesson.. Kinda a shame. Hes 19, he has his whole life ahead of him. Oh well, if the justice system cant make him learn, I doubt anything else will.

  4. There’s no shame any longer.  Maine courts have allowed these creeps to serve little, if, any time.  With no punishment, crime does pay.  As for him being unemployable due to his great background, he does not care – he and his family are likely living off of welfare.

    1. Jails cost taxpayer money and it is fairly apparent that the current state administration is more interested in giving tax breaks to the wealthy than using taxes to build jails. But I do agree with you; probably already out on $100 bail.

  5. The court system is going to keep playing with this punk until he kills someone……or himself. Look at him, standing there like it’s picture day in grade school. Do us a favor and just send him away and for a long time. He will not learn a thing, but the police have enough going on without having to babysit this punk.

  6. Judging by his facial expression, he thinks he is posing for his 8 x 10 head shot and not his mug shot. No son, Hollywood is not going to come calling. And that is not an impressive “resume” he has put together.

  7. He looks awfully proud of himself. He reminds me of a kid I was acquainted with, not on my caseload, when I was a child protective worker. He was talking to a foster kid who was on my caseload in the reception area, bragging about his exploits. My client turned to him and said “Wow…You must be a real loser!” I had to walk away so they would not see me LMAO.

  8. yet another fine upstanding citizen   NOT! on the road to prison for a few years might help but i dought it us taxpayers will be taking care of this one for awhile i bet

  9. He won’t be smirking when he goes to prison and sees what they do to pretty boys with a nice smile in there.
