BANGOR, Maine — Heavy rains have knocked out power to numerous customers in Penobscot County, as well as a few in Washington County.
Shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday, Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. spokeswoman Susan Faloon said 1,649 customers in Penobscot County were in the dark because of a fast-moving storm that made its way through the Clifton, Eddington and Holden areas. Another three customers in Washington County lost power.
Power was expected to be restored by 4 p.m.
