BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor woman called police Wednesday night asking them to come assist her, but when they arrived they discovered she apparently was using the synthetic drug bath salts, police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Thursday.
“She was agitated, said she thought someone was after her, was paranoid and stuff,” the sergeant said of Tisha Kuchinski, 26.
Because Kuchinski, who lives on Spring Street, was out on bail, she and her apartment were searched.
“They found various drug items in her apartment,” including two white powdery substances, Edwards said.
One powder tested positive for bath salts and the other tested positive for cocaine, the sergeant said.
Kuchinski was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center and upon release was charged with possession of synthetic hallucinogenic drugs, possession of scheduled drugs and violating her bail conditions.
Kuchinski also was arrested in June for disorderly conduct and for violating her bail conditions after she refused to leave The Charles Inn-Big Easy Lounge downtown and started yelling at the responding officer, Edwards said at the time.
Kuchinski was living in Brewer in December when she was convicted of false public alarm or report and ordered to pay a $250 fine, according to court listings in the Bangor Daily News.
I am failing to see the problem here. She called police for assistance and she is clearly in need of assistance. Though I am sure this is not what she expected when she called.
Heard the call online… she was totally flipped on bath salts claiming she was being followed by people “many, many people.” You don’t see a problem when pd gets a 911 from a bath salt junkie flipping and they find lots of bath salts in her possession? This stuff is not bubble bath.

Sorry, I thought you were serious too! There have been a lot of bath salts calls on the scanner lately.. we’re sure doing a great job leading the nation in how to deal with these designer drugs, take ’em to the ER then let them go tear up the town.
The laws have lost all flexability. Though before my time, heard tell of officers tellin ‘ol Mr. Jenkins, ( names have been changed:) to go straight home, and the officer would follow. Perhaps lure.
Now it seems that the only passes are given to elected officials and somehow a kid with a bad upbringing, these days.
It may or may not be the officers choice, what is he to do? Not much help left out there.

The current system is just not working. More and more robberies, businesses and residential.. I’m scared to see what Bangor’s going to be like in a couple of years. Violation of bail conditions.. it’s gotta be money greasing that revolving door.
This week’s BDN Maine news has been some of the most atrocious I can remember in a long time. The myth that ME is a safe and wonderful place to live is down the toilet.
There are still many places in Maine that are safe. You just have to stay away from the bigger towns/cities – that is where most of these crimes are being commited.

I even heard some ”transients” down at the Shaws that were talking about the methadone clinic and then claiming what losers people are that do bath salts… Hmm, if I had to go dose every morning I would think I wouldn’t be judging people too awful much. Those in glass houses ought not punch holes in the wall.
Main St Shaws is a major reality check – it is scary to visit after 7pm. Nice that Shaw’s caters to these scuzbags by prominently displaying 24oz malt liquor cans sold conveniently in “singles” – the whole store is overrun with losers
