OLD TOWN, Maine — An Orrington woman out on bail who apparently was using the synthetic drug bath salts was arrested after Old Town police Officer Brent Fournier found her with a container of the dangerous street drug, Capt. Kyle Smart said Thursday.

Robin Mayo, 37, was parked in a no parking zone and Fournier stopped to check to see if she was OK and found her disoriented, the police captain said.

“She was unable to stand still” and was exhibiting other signs of bath salts use, Smart said. “A search located a container with a white powdery substance.”

That container was taken to the Bangor police station, where a test was done to detect whether it contained bath salts, he said.

“The drug tested positive for MDPV,” or methylenedioxypyrovalerone, a common component of the lab-made drug, Smart said.

A urine test also was done on Mayo, and she tested positive for marijuana use, he said. She was arrested for possession of synthetic hallucinogenic drugs and violating her bail conditions and taken to Penobscot County Jail in Bangor. She was later released, Smart said.

      1. I have never heard the slang??? Not really sure what “winnah winnah chicken dinnah” means. It was on this forum and another forum. Winnah  and dinnah not in the Websters.:|I enjoy humor but I guess I am missing something. Oh well…..never mind

        1. Lot2say is utilizing a modern slang term to satirize the inherently devious traits of the individual mentioned in the article. In other words, drugs are for losers.

  1. that is so scary!!!! I can’t believe the nerve of these idiots putting others lives in danger!!! if you want to do that crap, do it at home!!!

  2. She resembles the “bent nose guy”. Minus the bent nose. I guess they all start looking the same anyway.

  3. I sympathize with Frank but if he moved closer to his workplace none of that would matter.  That’s where we are at as a society unfortunately, the people who are supposed to be guiding us (scholars, public officials) are leading us in the wrong direction, our only option is to do what’s best for number one.  Unless you have a six figure income it makes absolutely no sense to own a car, so find an apartment close to work, pack up the moving truck and look forward to losing weight and being more healthy

    1. So we’re supposed to utterly abandon all these little towns because we shouldn’t have cars? Your comment is ridiculous.

  4. You should have your kids taken away from you….both parents arrested for bath salts??? This is why DHS is a total joke, and so are these people’s friends…you know your dopehead friend does bath salts but you look the other way? People are cowards.

    1. That is because they have some misplaced loyalty to the idea of a “code” that prevents “ratting on” people even when they should be reported. They think as parents who would hate to lose their own kids, and so do nothing. Or they wait for someone else to take action.
