EASTON, Maine — The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency has arrested a 30-year-old Easton man for manufacturing methamphetamine, agents say.

Darrell Crandall, MDEA division commander, said Thursday afternoon that the agency’s lab team is still searching Brian White’s mobile home at 529 Houlton Road.

According to Crandall, the MDEA was alerted to suspicious activity on Wednesday night and responded to the Easton address.

A search of the area resulted in agents locating White in his 1999 Ford sedan. Police did not say what they found in the vehicle, but White subsequently was charged and his car seized.

Agents also secured his mobile home and began working on a search warrant. The warrant was approved and agents executed it at 2 p.m. Thursday.

The agency is being assisted by the Department of Environmental Protection, Easton Fire Department and the Maine State Police.

The investigation is ongoing.

  1. Sadly, two children lived in that mobile home.  I pray that Child Protective Services investigates.  You can’t tell me that the Mother didn’t know that her significant other was manufacturing the drug.  Good parents, regardless of their problems, don’t put children in harms way.   Great job, MDEA.  Get them all!!!

    1. I personally know the Mom and she was not aware of this.  And the father was not living in the home.  So please stop with the Mom, and she is a Great Mom.  And I agree the MDEA is doing a great job,  just imagine how the Mom must feel reading a comment like that she already feels embarrassed and humiliated enough!!!!!!   Thankful enough she has an amazing family on both sides there for her and the kids…..

      1. I never have for the same reason I don’t watch Weeds. I think it says something, not too flattering, about where the country is at that the main characters are drug dealers.

  2. Not good ………Extremely toxic  and to the people exposed. I dont understand why people do this. Might as well drink lighter fluid….antifreeze and of the like.

  3. every drug today is synthetic this or that..back in the good days..at least they were pure..not bath tub or pharma concotion…it was real…do you get it yet…the hippies had it right…love peace..harmony… said we were garbage…whos garbage now  ????

    1.  I agree, Michael. Back in the day we would procure some beer from somebody older than us and, if we were lucky, a bag of weed. Then we went into the woods to a camp and STAYED THERE for the night. The next morning we all drug our butts out of bed and went to work because, back then, young people HAD JOBS.  All of this new synthetic stuff is garbage and destroying our communities.

  4. doctors prescribe narcotics to innocent people everyday,  they get hooked on drugs. You never hear of doctors getting arrested for taking kick backs to hook people on their drugs.

    1.  You are right, the crooked Doctors who do this should receive the harshest sentence of all. They take an oath to help people not hurt them.

  5. Crystal meth is a very dangerous drug. It has a high addictive potential and it causes a great deal of damage to the addict, to the families, and to the society as a whole. It also is dangerous to make in homemake labs and has been known to explode because the chemicals used to make it are very volatile. It also leads to damage to overall health of the makers because it is highly toxic. Houses that have been sold after meth was made in them can remain contaminated for some time afterward. And this character had kids living with him and his significant other. I hope this guy has an extended “time out” in jail to think about the consequences of his actions. Kudos to the Maine DEA.

  6.  The father was not living at the residence when he was caught and he was not cooking crystal meth in the home, he was in his car.  It doesn’t make it right either way but the story is being stretched, the MDEA did its job and there was no evidence of crystal meth found in the home it was all precautionary measures for safety of the family.
