WATERVILLE, Maine — Somerset County Sheriff’s Department officials have arrested a man they say robbed a bank in Bingham on Thursday.
Paul Robinson, 40, of Waterville was arrested at about 5 p.m. Friday in Waterville and charged with Class B robbery, said Detective Lt. Carl E. Gottardi II in a statement.
At 12:17 p.m. on Thursday, a man walked into Camden National Bank on Main Street in Bingham and demanded cash from a clerk. The suspect did not display a weapon, but left the scene on foot with cash. No one was injured.
Gottardi said a search warrant was executed for Robinson’s person and motor vehicle. Robinson’s vehicle was impounded.
“The search warrant execution yielded further evidence believed to link the suspect to this robbery,” said Gottardi.
Waterville and Fairfield police departments conducted surveillance on the suspect while the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department obtained the search warrant, said Gottardi. Maine State Police assisted in the investigation.
“This case was brought to a swift and successful conclusion by the joint collaboration of all the aforementioned police agencies, the bank employees and other citizens who provided information,” said Gottardi.
That didn’t take long. Now if the could do the same on the Pharmacy robberies.
Not sure why pharmacies robberies take longer, but they seem to do, unless they are caught real close
