MEDWAY – Leona Estelle Snowman, 90, went home to be with our Lord in heaven Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Cumming Nursing, Howland. She was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Medway, to David and Florence Thompson Cram.
In 1940, she married the Rev. Preston Snowman. Together they served 45 years in the ministry. She was a student of the Bible. She loved reading the word. She devoted her life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Mrs. Snowman was loved by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Preston W. Snowman; son, Paul Snowman; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Carrie Lynn Snowman. Survivors include three sons, David Snowman and wife, Sandi, of Venice, Fla., Carl Snowman and wife, Star, of Dover, Del., and Mark Snowman and wife, Judy, of Stratford, N.Y.; four daughters, Ruth Mitchell and husband, Philip, of Medway, Jean Meade and husband, Tim, of Colonial Heights, Va., Joyce Mancini and husband, Joe, of Alpharetta, Ga., and Janice Sarvis and husband, Toby, of Alpharetta, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Roberta Snowman; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Annie Cram Hale Seavey and June Cram Thompson.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Mattawamkeag Church of God with Pastor Mark York officiating. Burial will be at Brooklawn Cemetery, Portland. Clay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.clayfuneralhome.com
