HEBRON, Maine — A Poland man is accused of breaking into a local home and stealing copper pipes and five electric baseboard heaters.
Gary Reynolds Jr., 32, of 93 Hardscrabble Road, Apt. 2, was arrested early Tuesday morning on charges of burglary, theft and aggravated criminal mischief. On Tuesday in Oxford County Superior Court, he was released on personal recognizance and ordered not to return to the home.
According to a booking report by Deputy George Cayer of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, Reynolds broke in through a basement door and stripped copper pipes connected to the boiler. A neighbor called police after noticing Reynolds at the home.
Cayer wrote that when he arrived, Maine State Police Trooper Daniel Hanson had already detained Reynolds. Reynolds had abandoned the car, and the copper was piled up next to it. Footprints matching Reynolds’ shoes were found next to the abandoned car.
How wild do you suppose this dim wit would be if someone broke into his house and stole his source of heat? I’ll bet that he would demand a full scale investigation, leaving no stone un-turned in the merciless pursuit of these dirt bags that ripped him off. I hope that when he was a kid, he wanted to grow up and have a miserable existence floating helplessly in and out of prison. I like to see kid’s dreams come true.

i like that one bail condition was that he not return to the house. why would he? all the stuff he wanted is probably gone or secured now. what kind of bail is that?
He was doing the homeowner a service by forcing them to use more efficient means of heating.
The homeowner already had changed to a high efficient boiler and taken out the old electric baseboard. That made them easy pickens for a scumbag thief.
