AMITY – Dawn Knapp, 92, died Sept. 6, 2012, at a local hospital. She was born June 28, 1920, in Amity, daughter of William and Jennie (Tracey) Shields.
Dawn was a member of Amity Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, David Knapp of Florida and Perry Knapp of Hodgdon; four daughters, Alice Lindsay of Houlton, Judy Putnam of Amity, Betty Marshall of Ludlow and Charlotte Lightbody of Hodgdon; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Fern Shields of Linneus; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan Knapp; son, Duane Knapp; daughter, Lorraine Knapp; a great-grandson, two great-great-granddaughters and a great-great-grandson.
