BREWER, Maine — A 7-year-old Brewer child reported missing early Tuesday evening by one of her parents was found safe and sound inside of her home.
The call about the child, which came in about 6 p.m., indicated that she had left home on foot. That set off a search of her north Brewer neighborhood, Brewer police Cpl. Nelson Feero said Tuesday night.
In addition to Brewer police, a Maine State Police dog tracking team was brought in to help find the child, Feero said.
The girl was located shortly before 7 p.m., he said.
“She was actually hiding in her house. Everything is fine,” Feero said, adding that the girl was found when searchers rechecked the house.

I’m so glad this had the ending it had! I can only imagine what the parents went through during that short time!
I hope that after emotions have settled back down, they explain the importance of A) answering when called, B) Not scaring the crap out of her parents, and C) Never actually running off.
I know she didn’t run off this time, but depending on what caused her to hide in the first place (fight, hurt feelings, punishment, etc), she might if she feels that way again.
What a relief.
She showed that she is really good at hide and go seek.
I wonder if being found by a State Police dog scared the little angel straight.
your a little extreme….. kids will be kids,,, just cause the child was hiding does not mean that he/she is being abused…. your whole comment is just ABSURD!
You must remember- Andy is a troll. He got his last persona banned, and will most likely get this one banned soon too.
On the flip side, she could be a spoiled rotten brat who might need her rear spanked for pulling that trick on her parents and scaring them half to death.
