FORT KENT, Maine — The University of Maine-Fort Kent women’s soccer team shut out visiting UM-Machias 5-0 in USCAA action Thursday.
Freshmen forward Katherine Ferland scored three goals to lead the UMFK attack. Theresa Biggs and Jenn Colpitts added a goal and an assist each for 6-0—0 UMFK.
UMM goalkeeper Rebecca Young stopped 13 of 18 as the Clippers fell to 4-3-0. Kimika Forbes made two saves on two UMM shots to record the shutout win for UMFK.

FORT KENT, Maine — Second year forward Kennard Brown scored three goals to the University of Maine-Fort Kent over UM-Machias in USCAA action Thursday night.
Brown scored in the 23rd minute to give the Bengals a 2-0 halftime lead and again in the 65th minute to complete his hat trick. Christian Olmedo scored for 4-3-1 UMM and Luis Herrera made two saves on six UMFK shots.
Giovanni Sinclair recorded two saves on three UMM shots for 6-0-0 UMFK.
