ELLSWORTH, Maine — A Bar Harbor man on bail on two assault charges is back in jail Tuesday after being arrested on charges that he violated bail conditions during the weekend.

Justin D. Bulley, 19, was pulled over Saturday night in Ellsworth after Officer Christopher Smith saw the teenager allegedly driving without his headlights on.

When Smith ran Bulley’s information and saw he was out on bail, he conducted a routine bail check. During a vehicle search, police said Smith found a glass marijuana pipe, 2.5 Oxycontin pills, and 2.2 grams of marijuana.

Bulley was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of an WXY drug, sale or use of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He also was charged with violations of bail conditions.

The teen was arrested in July after being charged with assault in Bar Harbor, according to a Hancock County Superior Court docket record.

He posted a $750 bail bond on July 2. Bulley’s file was not available at Hancock County Superior Court on Tuesday, but bail conditions usually prohibit the suspect possessing or consuming drugs or alcohol. A trial in the assault cause is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 15.

Bulley also was fined $300 for a June 23 charge of marijuana possession. He is currently being held in Hancock County Jail, pending a first appearance on the new charges.
