BANGOR, Maine — An Essex Street man was arrested Sunday on a felony drug furnishing charge and other charges after police were called to his home to look into a report of a family fight.
Allen Dick Henry, 37, has been charged with aggravated furnishing of marijuana, Bangor police Sgt. Larry Weber said Wednesday night, citing an arrest report.
Weber said that the furnishing charge was elevated to Class C felony status because of the amount of pot police found in his possession and because he had his stash stored within 1,000 feet of two schools, namely John Bapst Memorial High School and All Saints Catholic School.
Henry also was charged with illegal possession of a scheduled drug after police found Suboxone strips in his possession without the required doctor’s prescription, and with violating the conditions of his release from a prior arrest, Weber said.
Henry remained at Penobscot County Jail Wednesday night, unable to make bail, Weber said.
Though the series of events that led to Henry’s arrest began with the family fight complaint, police officers determined that the fight was only verbal. Henry was subject to a police search as part of his bail conditions, which included that he not use or possess alcohol and drugs, Weber said.

Seems like most of the people cannot or will not follow their bail conditions. But I know they are all victims. Sarcasm intended.
Did it ever occur to you that they only report people who violate? The guy who’s on bail who doesn’t violate doesn’t really get as much coverage as the one who does. Way to not look at the whole picture at all. Do you believe everything you read online, or in the paper?
Over half the people on bail and probation make it through without incident. Fact.
I know that. I am referring to the one’s who break their bail risking staying in jail until their trial.
Don’t tell me someone is selling their suboxone from the clinic! That is just ridiculous. I can’t imagine that ever happening…..not in Bangor. They are there for “treatment”, not to take advantage of the system!
if a friend gives you pot…..they are not your friend
Alcohol & nicotine perfectly safe ,thanks friend
Really? I was always told that a friend with weed is a friend indeed.
