SALTSBURG, PA. – Robert Henry Rand, 69, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at his residence. The son of Floyd and Mary (Dionne) Rand, he was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Fort Fairfield.
Bob was an electrician and longtime employee of Don Huey Construction. Bob was known as a hard worker, who took pride in his work. He was known for his kind, loving and outgoing personality. Bob was also a very patriotic individual. His interests included music, reading about history and anything regarding trains, airplanes and mechanics. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Surviving is his wife, Christina (Amorose) Rand, whom he wed May 3, 2008; his children, Michael Rand, Matthew Rand and Elisabeth Rand-Stearns; sister, Katherine Gardiner; brothers, David, Richard and Stephen; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, JoAnn Grace (Hullihen) Rand, who passed away Feb. 23, 2007; and their son, Mark.
