DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — The Brownville woman charged with a murder-for-hire attempt against her husband will be allowed to have supervised contact with her minor children.
Wendy Farley, 46, will be allowed to visit with her minor children in Piscataquis County Jail if they are accompanied by one of her adult children, and the minor children have permission of their father, Luther Farley, to see her. The permission was granted during a status conference Tuesday in Piscataquis County Superior Court.
Wendy Farley was arrested on Sept. 18 and charged with criminal solicitation, a Class A felony, for trying to hire someone to kill her husband. According to police affidavits, Farley tried to have her friend, Michael Anderson, find someone to kill her husband with a rifle so it would look like a hunting accident.
“A straight hit, that’s what I want,” Farley allegedly tells Anderson on a recording, according to the affidavit. “One shot — drop him.”
Instead, Anderson contacted police, who set up an operation to record conversations between him and Farley. Farley was arrested after a taped interviewed was reviewed by Brownville and Milo police.
Farley has 13 children with four of them of adult age, said her attorney Chris Smith. She still cannot have direct contact with her husband nor any contact with Anderson.
Piscataquis County District Attorney R. Christopher Almy said in September that there is no evidence of domestic violence.

13 freakin’ kids? Let me guess? Taxpayer funded?
They took that “go forth and multiply” business literally.
More than likely there’s a direct connection between that and one of the fundamental/evangelical cults-disguised-as-churches.
I hope that “church” is helping to pay for them. I sure couldn’t afford that many kids, and the house to put them all in.
When you read this headline it is clear that there is something wrong with the court system. Really? I mean Really??
“Mama, why are you wearing orange?”
“Mama, why are there bars on your room?”
So friggin SICK! What a nice mama!
I wonder how many DADDIES!
Too many.
Having some knowledge of the family there is one daddy and no state funding …rather a woman who married young and found the internet and its evilness that can be searched there and sexuality kicked in for something new
Well they got along fine for quite awhile!!13 little government dependents! wow…she probably did not want 14!
My 16 year old daughter (who works at Mcdonalds) said that that creepy dude Michael Anderson was hitting on her the other day at the drive through. He gave her a business card and told her to call “if she ever wanted to just go for a ride”. He should make a very convincing witness.
Hes a cab driver. He gives his card to literally everybody. Having known him for a few months now and not basing my judgements on a teenage girls assessment, I can assure you that he is a good dude.
Unless your a GD hollister model nowadays your considered “creepy”
I don’t understand her motive. Was the husband abusive or is she just worn out over giving birth to 13 friggin kids, or both? I’d be depressed too. I doubt that he had a huge insurance policy. What’s up?
